About meI grew up in Athens, Greece, and I started my academic trajectory as a physics student at the University of Ioannina in Greece, where I got my first research exposure in the area of experimental nuclear physics. Later, I went on to graduate school at Central Michigan University in Mt Pleasant, MI. There, I continued research in nuclear physics for a short time until I realized that it would be more fulfilling to pursue research in physics education where I could improve students' learning and their experiences in higher education. I graduated with an MS degree and a thesis in physics education. Then I continued pursuing doctoral studies in science education at Western Michigan University. Currently, I live in Los Alamos in New Mexico, where I am writing my dissertation. In my free time, I enjoy riding my bike, swimming, and reading.
